About Live Art (and me):

Live Art is an investigation. In this context, "live" does not mean that the artist (must) perform in front of an audience, but that s/he defines experiments and explores an idea or a theory in reality: The investigation is the action, and the action is the work.

For that reason, documentation plays a big part, and should be included conceptually in the project from the beginning. The documentation can be presented at a later time, in a book, a performance lecture, an exhibition or whatever. This understanding of Live Art includes concepts like "public space" and "interdisciplinarity". Not as goals in themselves but as the consequence of pursuing an idea through whatever means, medias and actions neccesary.

Coming from the theatre I have moved towards performance art. I continue my investigation of how space is transformed by dramaturgies - and by time concepts independent of theatre and entertainment fiction, but as debated in physics, philosophy and psychology.
