Statement:

Artistic research has an affinity to performance art. The artist does not need to perform for an audience, though, but can define experiments and explore an idea or a theory in reality: The investigation is the action, and the action is the work. This artform includes concepts like "public space" and "interdisciplinarity". Not as goals in themselves but as the consequence of pursuing an idea through whatever means, medias and actions neccesary.

My focus is an investigation of how space, material and the narration of it are transformed by a concept for the available time. In my works, the spatial content of the performance, performance lecture or performance installation is always an exact image of the time.

"By means of the new modes of spatializing time, contemporary art produces forms that are able to capture this experience of the world through practices that could be described as “time-specific” (Nicolas Bourriaud in "The Radiant", p. 79)
